About the Role: The Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support to the company’s clients in the cutting tool and machine tool industries. This position requires extensive travel, with 70% overnight travel, to ensure customer satisfaction and promote the company’s advanced machining solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding CNC turning and milling applications.
  • Develop and implement machining processes for high-temperature alloys using multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Collaborate with customers to optimize tool geometry and enhance performance using Unigraphics NX and modeling software.
  • Utilize expertise in ceramic, carbide, PCD, solid and indexable cutting tools, and equipment to solve complex machining challenges.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and training for customers, ensuring optimal use of our products.
  • Assist in the design and development of new cutting tools and machining techniques.
  • Support the sales team with technical presentations and product demonstrations.


Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, specializing in multi-axis CNC turning and milling applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with high-temperature alloys.
  • Proficient in tool geometry, Unigraphics NX, and modeling.
  • Background in CNC turning and multi-axis milling, utilizing ceramic, carbide, PCD, solid and indexable cutting tools and equipment.
  • Experience in tool geometry, grinding, and EDM processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with 70% overnight travel required.
