Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Security Manager at Palm House in Palm Beach, FL. The Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing physical security, security management, information security, cybersecurity, and network security to ensure the safety and security of the property and guests on a day-to-day basis.


Key Responsibilities:

Security Management:

o Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures tailored to the hotel environment.

o Oversee and manage daily security operations, including monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents.

o Ensure the security team is trained and equipped to handle various security situations, including emergency responses and guest safety concerns.


Incident Response:

o Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related incidents, including theft, vandalism, and emergencies.

o Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches or incidents, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.

o Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.


Guest and Employee Safety:

o Monitor and assess potential security risks to guests and staff, implementing preventive measures as necessary.

o Ensure that safety protocols are communicated clearly and consistently to all employees and guests.

o Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for staff to prepare for various emergency scenarios.


Surveillance and Monitoring:

o Oversee the operation and maintenance of security surveillance systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.

o Review and analyze surveillance footage to identify potential security issues or areas for improvement.

o Maintain and update security records and logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


Collaboration and Communication:

o Work closely with hotel management and other departments to ensure that security measures align with overall hotel operations and guest services.

o Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and community organizations.

o Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on security matters and incidents.


Compliance and Documentation:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal security regulations and standards.

o Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and training sessions.

o Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that security measures are effective and up-to-date.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related experience.

· Minimum of 6 years of experience in security management, preferably in a hospitality or hotel environment.

· Proven experience in managing security teams, responding to incidents, and implementing security protocols.

· Strong understanding of security systems, surveillance technology, and emergency response procedures.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required


Licenses or Certificates

· Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
