The Role
As the Operations Project Manager overseeing the low voltage team, you can expect responsibilities in the following areas:
Project Planning and Coordination
- Project Initiation: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are kept within approved limits.
Team Management
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure project goals are met.
- Resource Allocation: Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and project requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
Technical Oversight
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on low voltage systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, status updates, and project documentation to stakeholders.
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate any disputes or conflicts that occur among stakeholders or team members.
Compliance and Safety
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect team members and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspections and Testing: Oversee inspections and testing of low voltage systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
Risk Management
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Contingency Planning: Prepare contingency plans to address unexpected issues or delays.
- Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve any project risks or issues that arise.
Documentation and Reporting
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including plans, specifications, and change orders.
- Final Reports: Compile comprehensive project completion reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and best practices with the team and other departments to improve future project performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve project processes and outcomes.
- Training and Development: Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Standout Experience You Can Bring:
- 5+ Years of Project Management experience
- Hands on experience of installing/servicing low voltage systems - Telecoms, A/V, Electronic Security, Life Safety
- NICET Certifications
- PMP

- Base salary to be expected between $80K to $95K, although for the right profile, this may be increased
