As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. You will work closely with various departments to promote safety awareness, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement in safety practices.
What will you do day-to-day?
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Lead safety training programs and workshops for employees at all levels.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including incident reports and safety data.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to workplace safety.
- Coordinate with external agencies and safety consultants as needed.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a safety role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven experience in conducting safety training and audits.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
