Essential Job Requirements:


  • Strong interpersonal skills; verbal, listening and written communicable abilities
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Legal knowledge of specifications and contracts
  • Understanding of Architecture and Construction industry and processes, including AIA documentation and AIA software
  • Ability to confidently answer questions when contacted by the owner, contractor, engineers, etc.
  • Basic accounting and math skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and be familiar with Web-based programs used during construction phase of projects (ProCore, Submittal Exchange, Plangrid, etc)
  • Professional work ethic
  • Protect Clients and Projects confidentiality


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Principals, Project Architect and Field Construction Administrators in day to day work
  • Assist Principals in creating AIA Owner / Architect Agreements
  • Create AIA Owner / Contractor Agreements and confirm bonds/insurance, etc.
  • Issue Notice to Proceed to contractors with executed Agreements
  • Create AIA Change Orders, Construction Change Directives, ASI’s, etc – track documents and cost
  • Receive/login and track Submittals, RFI’s, COR’s, etc. Process to architect, engineers, etc.
  • Confirm math of Contractor’s Pay Request and process to architect / engineers for review. Once approved, submit to Owner for payment
  • Create cost analyst of each project and submit to accounting
  • Update cost analyst for accounting with project percentage complete and add change order work / cost per discipline
  • Ability to work cooperatively with project team, including owner, engineers and contractors
  • Issue Substantial Completion for each project and see through the Closeout Phase; issuing the closeout documents to the owner in their requested format (per the specifications)
  • Provide project information to staff as requested

  • Construction Specification Institute member and certifications of CDT and CCCA - or willingness to pursue and learn
  • Must be confident in the above job responsibilities
