How you'll make a difference:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating and executing marketing business plans for the Spinal Implants business unit. You will manage the activities of the product management group and develop strong cross-functional relationships. Additionally, you will oversee the operating expense and sales budget for your respective product line(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing and product development plans.
  • Formulate and manage operating expense and sales budgets for assigned product lines.
  • Oversee product release schedules and related materials.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage Product Managers and Associate Product Managers.
  • Support product line strategy and manage existing and future product lines.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and clinical customers.
  • Support domestic and international sales units through market activities.
  • Develop and implement product training programs and support materials.
  • Coordinate clinical design and panel meetings, surgical evaluations, and product surveillance.
  • Manage product launches, forecasting, and inventory in collaboration with corporate operations.
  • Represent the company and product group at national and international clinical congresses.
  • Drive new product development marketing activities from concept to market introduction.
  • Manage existing product lines, including line extension, forecasting, pricing, and support materials.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities, maximizing product performance.
  • Ensure clinical and technical leadership through field visits, literature reviews, and conference participation.
  • Provide high-quality sales support through product introductions, training, and field visits.
  • Maintain key relationships to stay ahead of market opportunities and push for innovation.
  • Interface with other product line managers to understand product relationships within the company's portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate product availability and forecasts throughout the product life cycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive information and attend surgeries to educate surgeons on products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to position products effectively in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 7-10 years of product management experience with documented success in both upstream and downstream marketing activities.
  • Medical device experience in orthopedics and spine preferred.
  • Working knowledge of spinal and/or orthopedic anatomy.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Personnel management and supervisory experience.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage both direct and indirect reports.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods; frequently required to stand, walk, and use business equipment.
  • Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Correctable eyesight and hearing to standard levels.
  • Must be physically able to set up for trade shows and exhibits.
  • Travel required up to 50% of the time, both domestic and international.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated salary for this position for an employee located in California is $175,000 to $230,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
