Position Overview:

We are seeking a Commissioning / Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer with a strong background in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. This role involves full-time travel to project sites in Texas or Louisiana. The initial contract is for 12 months, with a high likelihood of extension or conversion to a direct hire position based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commissioning and start-up activities for LNG facilities, ensuring all systems and equipment meet operational specifications and safety standards.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, including procedures for testing and validation of I&C systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve I&C issues during commissioning, working closely with vendors and contractors to implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and document commissioning progress, providing regular updates to project management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and support to operations personnel on I&C systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning or I&C engineering, with at least 2 years in LNG facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG processes, including cryogenic systems, gas turbines, compressors, and safety systems.
  • Proficiency in control systems, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel full-time to project sites in Texas or Louisiana.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
