We are in need of a strong Project Controls that can support both the cost and schedule sides of Project Controls. Our client would prefer that our resources can work locally and that the support would be in office 2-3 days per week in New Orleans or Baton Rouge area. There is the potential for travel to site locations as these project progress from office to field.


Scope of Work:

  • Prepares and maintains the Owner’s Schedule
  • Performs all aspects of Cost Controls responsibility as well - accruals, budgets, forecasts, actuals, variance, EVM, reporting, etc...
  • Coordinates with Contract Compliance Administrator to incorporate agreed upon schedule extensions and change orders into the Owner’s Schedule
  • Analyzes the EPC Contractor’s daily, weekly, and monthly reports and report to the Project Manager on deficiencies in performance, productivity, and any contradictions
  • Works with project team and EPC contractor on project cost model, cash flows and maintenance of risk register
  • Provide analysis and report as required including routine monthly/weekly updates of the following:
  • 30 Day Look Ahead (Then 90 Day Look Ahead Schedule After FNTP)
  • Critical Path Schedule
  • Milestone Report (Part of Schedule Narrative Project Controls Observation Report)
  • Schedule Narrative
  • Develop and Maintain Key Commodity Velocity Tracking
  • Interfaces with EPC Contractor’s scheduler
  • Reviews and confirms the EPC Contractor’s update to their schedule
  • Supports development of EPC recovery schedules as necessary
  • Reviews and comments on EPC monthly schedule submittal
  • Reviews and tracks progress on Critical Path Activities
  • Identifies and reports discrepancies or issues with the EPC Contractor’s schedule
  • Facilitates Risk/Issue Register discussions and maintains the respective logs
  • Maintains Potential Change Order and Change Order logs, gather the required backup data, analyzes the potential schedule impacts, and verifies the cost estimate
  • Carries out daily and weekly valuations of contractor and sub-contractor work in progress
  • Reviews and validate drawings with work schedules
  • Supplies relevant information to Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Controls Manager, Scheduler and QA/QC Manager
  • Assists Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Controls Specialist, Project Controls Manager and QA/QC Manager in monitoring installed material quantity
  • Verifies work complete percentage for milestone payment authorization
  • Reviews and check project estimates
  • Participates in regularly scheduled site team activities and meetings
  • Develop and Maintain Monthly and Weekly Progress Reporting and Observations
  • Supports Ad Hoc needs of Project Manager
