What you'll do:


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Development Manager to lead and oversee the development and management of our product categories. This role combines the strategic vision of a Product Manager with the executional excellence of a Program Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful on-time delivery of innovative programs that bring the latest lighting technology to everyone.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for multiple product categories, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams internally and externally, including engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, and our factory partners to deliver high-quality products and programs on time.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with retailers, sales, and other stakeholders to identify customer needs and market opportunities. Translate these into detailed product requirements and program objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of product development and program execution, making adjustments as necessary to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to propose new ideas and solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product categories, managing communications with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Evaluate the success of products and programs, using data and feedback to inform future strategies and initiatives.


What you'll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management and/or program management, with a proven track record of leading successful product launches and program executions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes for making hardware.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution and resource allocation.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Additional Data:


Position is onsite Monday through Friday in our Pico Rivera, CA office. Position does not offer relocation package. No remote work available for this position.
