Region Sales Director OpportunityAvantor is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Region Sales Director to lead a high-performing team across the Seattle, WA territory. This individual will be responsible for managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio and driving strategic growth across key market segments including Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of sales leadership, market segmentation, and customer engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute territory plans, coach and inspire a team, and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders to expand Avantor's presence and impact in the region.What We're Looking For:Education: College degree or equivalent/applicable experience, requiredExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience establishing high-level customer relationships and account development and implementationThis position requires a valid driver's license to perform essential functions of the roleCollaboration Tool: Microsoft Office, with preference for experience in C4C or QlikViewPreferred Qualifications:Several years of successful outside sales experience, demonstrating strong industry knowledge and negotiation skillsDistribution experience and a scientific background and/or have worked in a laboratory or research environmentExcellent presentation and coaching skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectivelyStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to resolve conflicts and solve problems efficientlyHow You Will Thrive and Create an Impact:Hire, train, and set expectations with all sales associates in the regionContinually evaluate associate progress and performanceProvide formal and informal sales training to all sales associates in the assigned areaDevelop programs and selling strategies to motivate the sales force and stimulate salesDevelop and maintain sound customer and supplier relationsDirectly handle contract negotiations for key accountsPrepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories and analyze and monitor sales data for the regionMonitor and manage key product salesSuccessfully interface with internal customers and service providers such as NCO, Furniture division, Avantor Specialists, and Business Process ConsultantsPerform other duties as assignedDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
