Job Description:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content.

• Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.

• Complete detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.

• Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments. Create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text appropriate for the target audience.

• Conduct meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.

• Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.

• Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.


Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience developing instructor-led and WBT/E-Learning hands on technical skills training.

• 2+ years’ experience developing web based training.

• Experience designing and developing training for utility industry.

• Experience with technical writing

• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Articulate Storyline.

• Knowledge of QuestionMark and Author-it.

• Experience designing and developing Safety training.

• Available for onsite visits 5% to 10 % of time. Must be available for overnight visits to PG&E mountain locations. 1 or 2 visits per quarter required.
