Role Description

The Vice President of Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of billable security services including incident response, technical services, offensive services, advisory services, and Security Operations Center (SOC) as a Service. This role leads a team of teams to ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers and is responsible for developing and delivering industry-leading cybersecurity solutions and services to our clients across various industries and sectors. This role oversees the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of our cybersecurity business unit. This role is to lead and grow the opportunities available to Blue Team Alpha through sales and marketing, seek out and participate in speaking engagements and events, drive product development and business strategy/plan, and own the customer’s experience. The mission for this role is to more than double Blue Team Alpha’s revenue in 2024 from 2023


Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals including PM’s, analysts, engineers, and consultants

·       Develop and implement strategies, policies, standards, and best practices for our clients and our own organization

·       Provide thought leadership and guidance on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies

·       Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, vendors, and stakeholders

·       Work with customers to understand their security needs and recommend appropriate services

·       Ensure the quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction of all cybersecurity projects and deliverables

·       Monitor and report on the performance, revenue, and profitability of the cybersecurity business unit

·       Collaborate with other senior leaders and departments to align cybersecurity goals and initiatives with the overall vision and mission of the organization

·       Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and promote our security services.

·       Manage the performance of the team, including conducting regular performance reviews, setting goals, and providing feedback.

·       Work with the team to develop and improve processes, procedures, and standards for service delivery.

·       Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the security space.

·       Oversee the BTA Services Delivery department budget and staff

·       Mentor and train delivery staff by providing 60 billable hours monthly or averaging a minimum of 15/wk quarterly

·       Collaborate with clients to build their Cyber Security strategic vision and help them execute the implementation plan

·       Conduct Business Impact Analysis and Personnel Assessments for Customers

·       Is the Final Escalation Point within Blue Team Alpha’s Services team

  • ·       Provide Incident Commander Services to BTA’s customers


Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

·       Master’s degree or professional certification in Cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH and/or CIH, is preferred

·       At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role

·       Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale cybersecurity projects and solutions

·       In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, regulations, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.

·       Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEMs, and endpoint protection.

·       Incident Response and Ransomware Recovery experience required

·       Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

·       Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines

·       Willingness to travel as needed
