Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated Distinguished Engineer to drive the development of Network as a Service (NaaS) initiatives within our Technology and Product Development organization. This role will focus on technology development, solution design, and managing software development for integrated Network & Security offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, capable of ideating, collaborating, designing, and architecting NaaS product solutions using both internally developed and vendor solutions. The ability to work in an agile environment across various stakeholder organizations is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Network & Security product portals and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder organizations to define product roadmaps, priorities, and delivery dates.
  • Drive new solutions and proof of concepts, guiding the architectural direction of the solutions.
  • Act as a technology leader in the network and security product portfolio, driving revenue growth through NaaS solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in making build vs. buy decisions for product development and launches.
  • Identify new opportunities for integrating network and security services to enhance product offerings.
  • Develop and own the solution architecture and delivery team’s backlog, ensuring user stories are written and acceptance criteria are met.
  • Demonstrate working features internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with internal and external development teams to implement new or enhanced functionality for the product.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a strong technical team focused on product engineering functions for security solutions.
  • Develop a product consolidation strategy for security products on legacy platforms as new product solutions are created.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of work experience in enterprise product development.
  • Technical knowledge of complex systems and architecture concepts, ensuring effective employment of appropriate software design techniques by project teams.
  • Strong software development and delivery background, with experience in delivering public cloud-based solutions.
  • Technical expertise in developing/migrating solutions using AWS ecosystems, Angular Frameworks, and containers.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks and industry expertise to provide a systems perspective.
  • Strong working knowledge of Network, Security, and cloud-based services such as Private and Public IP Networks, Managed Services, SASE, Zero Trust, DDoS, Security Gateways, WAFs, etc.
  • Experience in developing accessible user portals for demanding customers.
  • Proven experience in leading and collaborating across cross-functional delivery initiatives.
  • Experience in gathering requirements, documenting requirements, managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and working with development and vendors to deliver on the product plan and vision.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions with product management and customers to identify new market opportunities and use cases.
  • Ability to analyze business results using key financial metrics including volumes, costs, and profitability to ensure customer needs are met while achieving business targets such as revenue and margin.
