LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for a client located in Fishers, IN . As our client continues to expand and evolve, we are seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join this dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting various accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decision-making.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

• Review and analyze accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide support as needed.

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or related roles. Public accounting experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and anomalies.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.

• CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
