Engineers apply the necessary technical breadth to providing top level technical support services and operational leadership, including problem resolution, and technical change implementation for Managed Services clients.


The Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol devices, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.

The job requires extensive hands-on experience with enterprise class networks coupled with some managerial and project management skills consisting of Palo Alto networking devices.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage network infrastructure consisting of Palo Alto firewalls and VMware integrated virtual firewalls with central Panorama management software.
  • Install and configure switching, wireless, and other associated network devices.
  • Manage network access control, network segmentation and security, and familiar with 802.1x.
  • Network design and routing.
  • Conducting network performance and integrity tests; generate reports.
  • Timely resolve support issues at all network layers.
  • Develop and maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Interact with business partners providing network engineering support.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects, meeting hard deadlines.

 

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

  • + years of Palo Alto firewall and Panorama experience
  • Capable of resolving critical issues in a time sensitive manner.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication and team-based skills.
  • Must have strong documentation skills.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical attention to detail and solid creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform intermediate root cause analysis.
  • Ability to consistently follow policies and procedures.
  • Excellence verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all coworkers and stakeholders, including senior leadership.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Palo Alto firewall experience
  • 5+ years of Palo Alto Panorama management suite experience
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
