Our client is a reputable electrical contractor known for delivering high-quality services to major auto manufacturers across North America. They are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their team, responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Analysis:

  • Evaluate plans, bills of quantities, and project documentation to estimate costs.
  • Source, negotiate, and secure competitive prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyze cost-impacting data to ensure accurate budgeting.

Project Planning and Risk Assessment:

  • Assess financial, technical, and operational risks associated with projects.
  • Prepare and present budgets, reports, and project plans to stakeholders.
  • Provide insights for decisions on project bidding to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Site Visits and Collaboration:

  • Conduct site visits to collect necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with key project team members and act as a liaison between clients and suppliers to maintain project alignment.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare comprehensive reports for management and client review.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay current with regulatory and legislative requirements to ensure all project estimates meet industry standards and compliance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an electrical estimator or in a similar role.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing: Valid Driver's License.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in project proposal and presentation, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
  • Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel as needed, with a focus on servicing major auto manufacturers across North America.

Background Checks:

  • Successful completion of a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening is required.
