Distinguishing Career Features

The Behavioral Health Manager is responsible for a broad range of behavioral health services to the communities served by the Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers. The position will require specific features, such as:

Ability to take into consideration each person’s unique circumstance in the provision of service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to provide clinical supervision. Ability to perform behavioral health assessments. Ability to provide intake appointments. Ability to diagnose psychiatric disorders. Ability to provide individual, family, and group counseling. Ability to provide treatment planning and care management. Knowledge of local, state, Indian Health Service (IHS) and federal regulations and licensing requirements pertaining to behavioral health. Knowledge of private and public managed care reimbursement requirements. Knowledge and commitment to adhere to the professional code of ethics for the respective profession. Ability to consider internal and external resources to develop client treatment plans.

Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience

To apply for this position, you will need to comply with the Washington State LICSW education requirements by providing documentation of a master’s or Doctor of Social Work (DSW) and accreditation by the CSWE. In addition, you will need to verify that you have completed and passed the Washington LASW Exam provided by the American Association of Social Work Board (ASWB) that is required to be an LASW.

The Field requirement is 4,000 hours of experience of which 1,000 hours must be direct client contact over a three-year period, supervised by an LICSW with supervision of 130 hours by a licensed mental health practitioner. Of the total 130 hours of supervision the following requirements must be met:

70 hours must be with an LICSW. 60 hours may be with an equally qualified licensed mental health practitioner. 60 hours must be one-to-one supervision. 70 hours may be one-to-one supervision or group supervision. Distance supervision is limited to 60 supervision hours.

A valid Washington State driver's license is required and must be eligible for the Colville Tribes vehicle insurance and maintained throughout employment.

Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.

A background check will be required with clearance maintained throughout employment.

Tribal member and Indian and veteran preference will apply.

Working Conditions

LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. May require lifting of 15 50 lbs.

In addition, LRCHC offers up to 6% match on a 401K or Roth IRA retirement plan. Upon hire, employee is eligible to have 12 paid holidays, funeral/bereavement leave, traditional leave, and jury duty leave. LRCHC also offers prorated vacation and sick leave available 90 days after hire.
