Scope of the position:

Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm PST, onsite

Work Days: M-F


Scope of work:

- install / remove equipment in lab racks based on ticket assignment

- make copper or fiber cable connections based on ticket assignment (1G, 10G, 40G+; LC or MPO)

- technical knowledge, skill, aptitude:

- VMware ESXi installation & basic troubleshooting

- Ubuntu OS installation

- Server troubleshooting: wont boot, RAM or HD installs

- networking knowledge/concepts of: ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls


Qualifications:

- open minded, “can do, will do” attitude

- prompt, quick to react and closure

- able to evaluate a situation and execute the best, quickest, easiest

- can work alone or as part of a small team

- knowledge and skills in: VMware, Ubuntu, networking understanding/concepts (ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls), fiber & copper cabling


Don’t Want:

- Reboot to fix

- easy way out

- queue closer for stats
