We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Cloud Systems Engineer to join Highway9 Networks. The ideal candidate will have experience in networking and cloud/virtualization, with a strong background in system administration and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include lab management, networking and virtualization, and maintaining and hardening all servers in the lab. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the networking platform, integrating latest tools and radios, and administering network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Lab Management, networking and virtualization (e.g. Firewall, Switches, Routers, DNS, DHCP server, VMware vCenter & ESXi) and all cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, docker hub)
  • Maintain and harden all servers in lab, and control individual's access Provide HA in lab (e.g. redundant HW, etc)
  • Manage all aspects of the networking platform
  • Integrate latest tools, radios & servers to Highway 9 environments
  • Troubleshoot network & system issues
  • Monitor active network and server infrastructure
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches
  • Execute sensitive data backup and restoration procedures
  • Document all technical procedures and user guides

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a network or systems administrator
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
