The Land Information and Tax Service department is seeking an Innovation and Change Advisor with demonstrated experience leading Human Centered design processes in a government setting to join its Services Strategy and Support Division (SSD). In this role, you will work collaboratively to support the divisions and departments in the Resident Services line of business in a variety of activities including group facilitation, strategic planning, process improvement, and change management. This position reports to the SSD Strategy and Change supervisor.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

Work collaboratively with a team to support department goals and objectives through facilitation, process improvement, strategic planning, change management, disparity reduction, and other department and division needs.
Support projects that analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Assist with facilitating strategicplanning efforts.
Create tools and guides related to continuous improvement and change management.
Support the development and implementation of change management plans and best practices that drive successful adoption of new processes and initiatives.
Offer support to team members and customers on other projects and initiatives as needed.
Apply diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices in efforts to reduce racial and other disparities.
Need to have: One of the following:Six years or more of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position. Note: General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets.Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and two years or more of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position. Nice to have: Experience:Supporting the Land Information and Tax Services department at Hennepin County.
