Summary

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Santa Ana National Disaster Loan Resolution Center (NDLRC) in Santa Ana, CA. The mission of the Office of Capital Access (OCA) is to help make capital available through lenders to small businesses. The NDLRC assist customers from the time the proceeds of a disaster loan are disbursed until the loan is paid off. Incumbent will be responsible for servicing or liquidating a full range of disaster business and home loans.

Duties

As a Loan Specialist, GS-1165-11 , you will perform the following duties: Reviews a variety of consumer and commercial loan documents, most of which include consideration and evaluation of complicating factors and determines Small Business Administration's rights in the collateral. Analyzes financial statements of obligors and endeavors to determine their prospects for continued payment on consumer and commercial loans in connection with modifications of payments or other loan terms. Prepares written credit recommendations and obtains supervisory approval on a variety of collection as well as real estate transactions. Provides necessary information as needed to legal staff in preparing various releases and other documents to be executed on behalf of Small Business Administration.
