Summary

As a Project Manager, you will serve as a technical point of contact for contractor supported projects for the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or civilian agencies.

Location of position: These positions are in GSA, Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) Defense. The location of these positions will be determined upon selection in the State/District of MD, VA, FL, TX, CA, or DC.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. If you are selected for this position you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 45 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.

Major duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Assists in defining technical aspects of the acquisition strategy to satisfy client needs that follow best acquisition practices. Defines technical objectives and parameters related to the approved acquisition strategy. Identifies, strategizes, schedules, and tracks technical accomplishments of all activities required to satisfy client requirements. Monitors contractor technical performance to ensure compliance with project management plan, Contract/Task Order, and compliance with pertinent regulations. Supports the client in all phases of project management and task order administration. Ensures all projects are managed within technical specifications and objectives. Develops, modifies, or provides technical input to project plans. Prepares technical evaluation reports. Supports the Contracting Officer in conducting the technical portion(s) of debriefs.
