Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor (Electrical Line Worker) position in the Industrial & Transportation Technology department in the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta. 

Undergeneral supervision of the Dean of Industrial & Transportation Technology, the Adjunct Electrical Line Worker instructor providesinstructiontostudents. This role requires a dedicated individual abletoselectandassess student learning outcomes, foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings, and promote good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector.

Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

·Assistwithdevelopmentandreviewofprogramandsyllabi,goalsandobjectivesaccordingtoapprovedcurriculumandcoursesyllabistandards.

·Evaluateandreviewstudents'progressinattaininggoalsandobjectives.

·Adviseandcounselstudentsandmaintainappropriateadvisementrecordsoneachstudent.

·Demonstrateandensuretheuseofappropriateandeffectiveteachingtechniques,testingandgradingprocedures (includingpropermaintenanceofgradebooksandanyotherappropriaterecord-keepingrequirements).

·Displayexcellentoralandwrittencommunicationskills.

·Maintainandreviewclassroomsandlaboratoriesinaccordancewithapprovedclassroomandlabmanagementplans.

·Maintainandreviewprogramcertificationrequirements,asappropriate.

·Prepareandmaintainallrequireddocumentationandadministrativereports.

·Ensuressafetyandsecurityrequirementsaremetinthetrainingarea.

·Assistswithrecruitment,retention,andjobplacementefforts.

·Demonstratesknowledgeofcurrentpracticesinteachingfieldand/orrelatedfields.

·FollowsandenforcesrulesandregulationsasdescribedbytheTechnicalCollegeSystemofGeorgiaPolicyManual andotherpoliciesandproceduresestablishedbytheinstitution; and

·Perform additional duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Must possess and demonstrate the following:

·High school diploma or equivalent.

·Extensiveworkexperienceasanelectricalline workerin overheadandundergrounddistribution constructionandmaintenance.

·ClassACommercialDriver’sLicenserequired.

·Mustbeabletoinstructstudentsandhandleadministrativeresponsibilities relatedtotheposition.

·Mustbeenergetic,highlymotivated,self-directed,opentonewideasandcustomerfocused.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
