Duties
Directs the identification and analysis of major causes of wildland fire and ensures that these causes are addressed in wildland fire management plans. Provides oversight to ensure adherence to, and implementation of, fire investigation program requirements at the unit level. Leads unit level annual wildfire prevention readiness reviews, and reviews local wildfire prevention plans Ensure wildfire prevention and mitigation strategies, principles, practices, and policies are scientifically based. Performs overall work planning, establishes work schedules and priorities, assigns and reviews work. Facilitates, advises, and educates the public on ecological principles and benefits of wildland fire and relationship to organizations mission.
