Food Services Assistant


Join our friendly and supportive Food Services Team Full Time Position working 80 hours per fortnight including monthly ADO Located at our Royal Park Campus

Our friendly and professional Food Services Team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital- Royal Park Campus are looking for a Food Service Assistant (Full Time to join us covering staff Long Service Leave). Food Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by the organisations values of Leading with Kindness, People First and Excellence Together. Food Service Assistants are an integral part of the hospital team.

Your new role:

Preparing and delivery of meals to patients Ensuring a clean kitchen environment is maintained Liaising with team leaders and ward staff Use of chemicals - Dishwashing Plating of hot Meals

About you:

Basic Food Handling Certificate A completed Certificate 3 in Health Patient Services, a PSA, PCA certificate or equivalent Certificate 3 in Health Excellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environment Ability to safely use cleaning supplies & equipment Participate in a roster and work in an allocated area and other areas as requested Flexibility to work a variety of shifts Benefit of working with the Royal Melbourne Hospital: Career progression opportunities to suit your professional development goals.
