Profile Analyst, Information Systems Specialist 5

This internal opportunity is available for current regular status employees of the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Correctional Enterprises, and Oregon Board of Parole, Probation, and Post-Prison Supervision with their current manager's approval.

The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) seeks to employ career-oriented candidates and offers employment opportunities in a wide variety of challenging occupations. ODOC’s mission is to promote public safety by holding offenders accountable for their actions and reducing the risk of future criminal behavior.

This position has been approved to work anywhere in Oregon, near a facility for on-site support. Official work location will be determined at time of hire. The Oregon Department of Corrections has facilities in Salem, Wilsonville, Portland, Umatilla, Pendleton, Baker City, Lakeview, Ontario, and Tillamook.

This position is represented by American Federations of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.

Your role:

Profile Administration.

What We Are Looking For

(a) Four (4) years of information systems experience in IT service or profile administration

OR

(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;

AND

two (2) years of information systems experience in IT service or profile administration

OR

(c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

Requested Skills

  • Ticketing and tracking software
  • Troubleshooting and determining the scope of an issue
  • Maintain detailed logs and notes or issues, resolutions, and interactions
  • Communicating technical information to stakeholders with a variety of ITS proficiency
  • Managing profiles  including creating, editing, auditing, and troubleshooting
  • Managing and updating databases
  • Reviewing forms for accuracy and appropriate approvals
  • PowerShell and CoreView

Requirements for Employment

Successful candidates for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following convictions are likely to result in being disqualified for this position: felony convictions, computer theft, identify theft and fraud. CJIS clearance is done at the conditional job offer.
