Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Junior Level Chemist to be based in the Austin, Texas Office.

This position is expected to begin in May/June 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Sample control: receiving, storing, and disposing of samples;

  • Preparing reagents and samples;

  • Analyzing samples;

  • Conducting experiments with supervision;

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or another related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial or academic laboratory experience is preferred. Examples: having worked for at least 160 hours in an industrial laboratory or having completed at least two semesters of extra-curricular, academic laboratory research

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software applications such as Word and Excel

  • Knowledge in safety measures and PPE

  • Detail-oriented and observant

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
