Analytical Chemists


Contribute to the company’s product development needs. Primarily, the open positions will focus on: scheduling and implementation of our experimental testing, chemical identification, trace chemical detection, discovery, and refinement of emission characteristics of Lantha’s synthesized polymers under various conditions, among others.


Analytical Chemists report directly to our Chief Science Officer regarding development of testing methods, schedules, procedures, and techniques. We are particularly motivated by applicants who are proficient in performing rigorous data analysis, critical thinkers, and comfortable in surveying pertinent literature. These skills are essential to help us identify new market applications for our products, and to ensure our current products maintain the highest possible standards of performance.


Our team is heavily invested in collaboration and innovation; so, there will likely be opportunities for Analytical Chemists to explore new fields and to incorporate their unique skillsets into projects beyond their immediate responsibilities.  


Responsibilities:

  • Analytical testing using Lantha’s proprietary metal-organic framework (MOF) sensors
  • Experimental planning for multiple projects; standard & testing samples preparations
  • Synthesis and characterization of MOF materials
  • Accurate documentation, analysis, and data reporting
  • Clear presentation of findings to senior team members in team meetings
  • Small-batch test strip manufacturing and packaging for new market customer evaluations
  • R&D collaboration: problem solving, optimization, innovation, new applications, etc.
  • Review and full adherence to Standard Operating Procedures; we strictly prioritize workplace safety
  • Day-to-day maintenance of analytical testing equipment


Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.S.A. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or an Equivalent Degree
  • Academic or Industrial Lab Experience (2+ Years) 
  • Authorized to Work in the US and Will Not Require H-1B Sponsorship in the Future

  • Experience with Karl Fischer Titration, Fluorimetry
  • Experience with Any Type of Chemical Sensing Technology

  • Project Management and Execution
  • Intrinsically Curious and Solution Oriented


Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $50-65k (based on experience)
