JOB SUMMARY : This position will work directly with guardians and youth on challenges that impact the stability of placement. Skills from Positive Indian Parenting and Triple P will be taught and discussed. Will provide services to mitigate potential risk factors youth engage in. The advocate will also work with youth directly on building coping skills, increase self-esteem and school achievement. Engage in cultural activities, learning life skills, and assist with referrals and connecting to other service providers.



COMPENSATION: $23.25 hr.



MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION



Associates degree in Human Services or related field *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE



 and elders.
One (1) year experience working with confidentiality.
One (1) year experience utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)
Complete the Positive Indian Parenting program *will allow three (3) months from start date to obtain
Complete the Triple P program *will allow three (3) months from start date to obtain
CPR/First Aid certificate. *will allow six (6) months from start date to obtain
Bloodborne Pathogens certificate. *will allow six (6) months from start date to obtain
40 hours Advocate Core training *will allow six (6) months from start date to obtain.
HIPAA certification upon hire.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
