DEPARTMENT: Health Clinic



JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant will check patients in for primary care, acute care, behavioral health, and specialty appointments, obtain vital signs and brief chief complaint. Will act as patient advocate as well as support the clinical staff. Will perform job duties as instructed by medical providers and will perform duties as needed by the Tulalip Health Clinic.



COMPENSATION: $23.25 hr.



The $5,000 Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:



1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.
2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90 day probationary period.

Eligibility:



Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.
Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.
Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED



High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE



One (1) year of related experience
Six (6) months experience in a clinical setting as a graduate of an accredited program.
Six (6) months experience using EPIC Electronic health record.
Experience with prior authorizations preferred
Experience with pediatrics preferred

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES



Current and unrestricted Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
Current BLS/CPR Certification. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment
Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment
HIPAA certification upon hire.
Must abide by the departments vaccination policy
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position
