Summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Lead Medical Support Assistant (Referral Coordination Initiative). The Lead Medical Support Assistant will function with the Referral Coordination Initiative team within Ambulatory Care Nursing Service.

Duties

The Lead Medical Support Assistant duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for daily workload assessments, assigning work, and assuring proper staffing coverage. Evaluate training records and determine training needs of MSAs to provide support across interdisciplinary settings. Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of appointments. Provide guidance to staff members, to include changes in policies and procedures. Create and maintain employee work schedules. Act as a liaison among Advanced MSA staff, patients, and other interdisciplinary staff to resolve day-to-day conflicts. Conduct ongoing reviews to ensure quality of work. Distribute and balance workload. Work Schedule : Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility as needed.
Telework : Available; 6 plus days per pay period.
