CSuite Financial Partners has been retained by our valued client, a Woodland Hills, California based company, to place a Corporate Accounting Manager.The Corporate Accounting Manager leads all corporate GL functions and is critical to our future success. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading accounting department staff in the activities supporting the general ledger, monthly financial statements, and quarterly financial statements.The is a remote role that reports directly to the Vice President, Corporate ControllerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the full accounting cycle for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany, payroll, operating expenses, debt, intangibles, and fixed assets.Managing the full cycle of payroll for the company and its subsidiaries.Manage the month end accounting close process, GL review and prepare support workbooks for income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.Support timely preparation, distribution, and review of monthly financial statements for management.Perform financial statement reviews and variance analysis.Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.Ensure policies, procedures and practices are documented and maintained for the corporate accounting team as well as develop, implement, and maintain internal controls over the accounting aspect of various business processes.Provide strong and effective leadership to the corporate accounting team through collaboration, communication, problem-solving, innovation, execution, and results.Minimum QualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5 + years of a combination of public and private accounting experience required.Active Certified Public Accounting license is required.Demonstrated proficiency with GAAP accounting principles and operating in an internal control environment.Big 4 or other top accounting firm experience.Proficient in Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Passion for building out processes, problem-solving and working independently.Highly organized, accurate, detailed-oriented and takes pride in the quality of their work.Experience working in a fast growing and/or start-up environment is strongly preferred.Insurance, financial services or similar preferred.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
