The Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM) in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) full-time, permanent Program and Grant Evaluation Research Analyst (Research Analyst 3) position.

As the Program and Grant Evaluation Research Analyst, you will use your experience in comprehensive research planning, design, and analysis to enhance the impact of our grants in Oregon’s communities and the effectiveness of our programs. This pivotal role will work with a dedicated team of analytical professionals to deliver results that will protect Oregon’s communities from the threat of fires and hazardous materials.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be described in your resume for full consideration):

A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports; OR

Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.

  • Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation (qualitative and quantitative).

  • Survey design, validation, administration, and analysis.

  • Strong background in policy and program evaluation methodologies.

  • Exceptional organizational skills for effective project coordination.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for clear reporting and presenting.

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools and software.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
