Job SummaryDescription
The Energy Components application is a configurable software package by Quorum Software that supports production volume management using a Java based front-end and an Oracle database back-end. The Energy Components Senior Analyst - Allocation Specialist position is within the Information Technology Technical Capabilities organization and supports the technical operation and configuration of multiple global instances of the Energy Components application. This is a business-facing position and provides the opportunity to work directly with U.S. and international groups in Alaska, Australia, Canada, and Norway that are involved with hydrocarbon production volume management and revenue accounting.
If you are selected as the Energy Components Senior Analyst - Allocation Specialist, you will develop Oracle database objects that configure the operation of the application. You will create interfaces from/to other applications (e.g. Informatica, Unix, Linux Shell, etc.) that provide data to or present information from Energy Components. You will support and modify existing allocation networks and calculations. You will use programming skills and knowledge of Java, Fortran, and other languages to modify and create application extension files.
This position can be based in Bartlesville, OK or in Houston, TX.
Job Description
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 24x7 technical support for multiple globally disperse instances of the Energy Components application
- Diagnosing and resolving general or system level problems
- Developing Oracle database objects and configuring the Energy Components application
- Creating and working ServiceNow Incidents, Tasks, and Change Requests
- Creating and working Atlassian Jira Work Requests, Stories, and Sub-Tasks
- Modify MathML equations in existing allocation calculations
- Support existing modifications to Energy Components application .ear, .war, and .jar files
- Convert existing FORTRAN code into a modern language
- Performing and managing daily work according to SAFe Agile processes
- Crafting and updating process documentation
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- 10 or more years of Information Technology experience in a technical role within the oil and gas industry
- 10 or more years of experience providing technical support for diverse Energy Components application instances, including version 13.x
- 10 or more years supporting allocation networks and MathML equation calculations
- 10 or more years of experience developing Oracle relational databases objects
- 7 or more years of experience with Java programming of Energy Components application .ear .war and .jar files
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to provide day-to-day application support and after-hours callout on a rotational basis
Preferred:
- 12 or more years of experience providing technical support for multiple Energy Components application instances for a major international oil company, including version 13.2.x
- 12 or more years of experience developing Oracle relational databases objects
- 10 or more years of experience using TOAD for Oracle or SQL Developer
- 5 or more years of experience using ServiceNow for Incident Management and Problem Resolution
- 1 or more years of experience using Atlassian Jira for agile workflow
- Intermediate knowledge of FORTRAN, C, or other programming languages
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to perform and manage work according to SAFe Agile processes
- Ability to collaborate and communicate efficiently and clearly, both verbally and via email, with diverse international groups to achieve business goals
- Ability to multi-task and easily switch/resume tasks in a team environment
- Ability to independently prioritize, problem solve, and coordinate activities with a focus on details
