Our Perioperative/Theatre Services at Western Health are seeking highly motivated grade 2 Registered Nurses to join our team. Perioperative/Theatre Services are responsible for the provision of both elective and emergency surgical procedures, including multi-day stay and day procedures, and incorporates adult and paediatric case mix. Perioperative /Theatre Services at Western Health operates at a variety of sites and is currently offering the following exciting opportunities.
The below selection criteria applies to all vacancies listed:
Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing Registration with AHPRA Possess recent experience in Operating Suite / Anaesthetic / PACU Successful completion of Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative / Perianaesthetics Nursing or working towards completion of postgraduate qualification is highly desirable Current registration with AHPRA and NMBA Minimum 12 months working experience within an Australian hospital setting (not including placements) Demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team A commitment to high quality and ongoing to maintain a culture of patient centred care. Registered Nurse – Perioperative / Theatre

Footscray Hospital has 6 operating theatres and supports a wide variety of surgeries including; Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Endoscopy, Maxillofacial, Vascular, Urology and General Surgery.
The perioperative services at Footscray are seeking experienced and passionate Perioperative Registered Nurses with experience in Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetic & PACU.
Perioperative Nurses need to have a minimum of 2 years perioperative nursing experience, with recent work in the perioperative setting. We are looking for experienced nurses in one or more of the following sub specialties of: Scrub/scout, anaesthetics and PACU.
Requests for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time and Casual will be considered.
