Registered Nurse - Paediatrics

Children’s Ward at Joan Kirner Women's & Children's at Sunshine Hospital is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, caring and highly passionate Registered Nurses to join the team.

The Children’s Ward cares for a mixture of medical and surgical patients and their families with a wide range of admitting diagnoses. The ward is well supported by experienced Paediatric Nurses and support roles including a Clinical Nurse Educator and a Clinical Support Nurses.

Registered Nurse – Paediatric Specialist Clinics
Sunshine Hospital
Permanent Part Time – 32 Hours per fortnight

Paediatric & Neonatal Specialist Clinics at Joan Kirner Women's & Children's at Sunshine Hospital is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, caring and highly passionate Registered Nurse to join the team.

The role of the registered nurse, will see you working within a multidisciplinary specialist clinic that incorporates the following activities: unsupervised clinical practice, coordination of care, counselling, health promotion and teaching, patient advocacy, collaborative patient and unit management, research, supervision and mentorship/preceptorship, interaction/liaison with multidisciplinary team, accurate and timely documentation.

To be successful for this role you will meet the following:

Minimum 2 years full-time or equivalent experience as a Paediatric Registered Nurse Possess excellent clinical skills Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management and delegation Well-developed written and verbal skills Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team Demonstrated evidence of undertaking professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing / midwifery expertise Highly desirable to have previous outpatient or clinic nursing experience
