Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Reservoir Engineering Advisor on behalf of an international E&P Company, based in Houston, Texas. This is a hands on role providing expert guidance for the development and management of deepwater assets, and requires a wide breadth of experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create development plans for deepwater fields, considering risks and uncertainties.
  • Maintain and integrate reservoir models, using advanced modelling and uncertainty analysis skills.
  • Support business development opportunities through reservoir engineering due diligence.
  • Interface with non-operating partners, providing project updates and financial justifications.
  • Conduct surveillance, analysis, and recommendations for subsurface engineering in North America assets.
  • Tailor presentations for various audiences, from technical teams to senior management.
  • Participate in technical evaluations and cross-functional reviews to mature projects.
  • Mentor junior staff on reservoir engineering concepts and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot well performance issues and recommend workover or stimulation treatments.
  • Support organizational objectives and metrics, improving data integration and analysis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's engineering degree. Master's preferred.
  • 20 years Reservoir Engineering experience
  • At least 5 years working on deepwater fields, preferably deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
  • Strong proficiency across a broad range of reservoir engineering functions including reservoir simulation, network modeling, pressure transient analysis, economic assessments, and field development studies.
  • Experience with relevant software for reservoir simulation, pressure transient analysis, economic evaluation, etc.
