In the role of Community Partnership Coordinator (CPC), you will operate across the district to represent the Self Sufficiency and Child Welfare Programs. Additionally, you will gather information and resources to disseminate among all ODHS agencies. A substantial portion of your time will involve being out of the office, engaging in community meetings, planning sessions, sourcing resources for clients, and delivering presentations about ODHS programs and services. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute their input in selecting their home office from among the District 10 locations: Bend, La Pine, Madras, Prineville, Redmond, or Warm Springs.

What you need to qualify

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; OR

  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

Your duties at a glance

As an employee working in the (SSP), you will have an opportunity to provide resources and services to help people move out of poverty and toward whole well-being. Programs include food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, medical, services for domestic violence survivors, resources for refugees and support for youth experiencing homelessness. 

As a Community Partnership Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide coordination and liaison services between multiple partners and department staff within the local branch and/or district. 

  • You will represent the agency and it’s various and diverse programs in a variety of community settings serving diverse populations.

  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective and positive working relationships with program service providers, social service providers, community and faith-based organizations and agency staff. 

  • You will be responsible for advocating for ODHS clients, problem solving as necessary, to facilitate and/or enhance access to services by ODHS clients as they seek economic stability.

  • You will recommend program or service delivery changes based on research and outcome measurement.

  • Provides program and operational support to the Branch Operations Manager and Program Manager as needed. 

  • Researching and developing contracted services, resources, potential providers and participate in the development of contract language.

  • You will be responsible for contract administration and assisting in monitoring and tracking of contracted services.

Working conditions

  • Regular contract with ODHS staff, partners, providers, stakeholders, and customers in our offices and over the telephone. 

  • Time spent outside the office will be significant as the employee participates in community meeting and planning session, seeking resources for customers, and providing presentations on ODHS programs/services. May include customer’s homes and other public sites such as schools, businesses, other agencies, and partner sites.

  • The employee may be exposed to and need to deal with issues/situations. 

  • This position may include working a flexible schedule that could include evening and/or weekends.

  • This position will occasionally have opportunities for remote work.

  • Frequent travel throughout Central Oregon is required and occasional travel to other parts of the state may be necessary.
