The Recovery Team Coordinator performs complex (journey-level) administrative support work and routinely interacts with treatment team members. The Recovery Team Coordinator is a member of the treatment team and plays a vital role during treatment planning meetings to gather input from all disciplines. The Recovery Team Coordinator will gather and compile this information into written drafts known as the Person-Centered Recovery Plan (PCRP). Works closely with the physicians as an administrative support to ensure that the patient care that is provided is documented in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with multiple documentation standards as defined by CMS, Joint Commission, and HIPAA. May be required to cover other teams as needed. Tutors administrative and clinical staff in the effective application of clinical computer software.

Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Works with the physician and treatment team ensuring that the electronic medical records remain current with established timeframes and meets the standards established by accrediting organizations. The Recovery team coordinator is an active member of the recovery team whose duties include scheduling the recovery team meetings with appropriate staff and patients, transcribing the completed recovery plan into the electronic format and ensures treatment plan updates are completed in a timely manner in accordance with quality standards. Keeps the treatment team members apprised of meeting times, required documentation, and any delinquencies

Works with the physicians to ensure that the electronic clinical records remain current with established timeframes and meet the standards established by accrediting organizations. Provides administrative support to physicians such as drafting letters, scheduling patient interviews and ensuring physician services are documented correctly for billing purposes. Serves as physician liaison to various clinical audit groups. Daily track the Physician Progress Notes in Draft, Orders Requiring Validation, recovery plans in draft and any other assessments that the physicians are responsible for.

Audit patient records to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of documentation. Report findings and recommendations to appropriate administrative staff to meet Joint Commission, CMS, and Standard Operating Procedure standards. Monitor and follow-up on all pending items and issues to ensure they are resolved. Including tracking and reporting physician deficiencies and coordinating the correction of identified deficiencies

Maintains a working knowledge of changes to the electronic patient record systems and computer software scheduling training as needed to update clinicians in revisions.

Responds proactively to avert crisis, but effectively in all psychiatric emergency situations to avoid need for physical intervention Assists in patient care when needed in an emergency

Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of administrative procedures.

If application is selected during screening process applicant must achieve 80%+ on spelling test and achieve 40 WPM with a 90% accuracy on typing test.

Proficient knowledge and skills in computer use and the written language including spelling, punctuation, medical as well as psychiatric terminology.

Must have documented experience with computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment (fax, phone, copier, etc).

Demonstrate an ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, good organizational skills and follow through skills.

Must be able to work in a clinical environment and respond proactively to avert crisis, but effectively in all psychiatric emergency situations to avoid need for physical intervention Assists in patient care when needed in an emergency.

Must conduct self at all times in a professional manner appropriate in a medical setting and while interacting with physicians, social workers, and upper levels of management staff.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
