Job Summary
AECOM has an immediate opening for an Electrical and Power Distribution Project Manager. The ideal candidate will provide direct oversight to Task Order Site Managers with authority to interface with USACE and AECOM Executive Management. Manages and directs the deployment, installation, operation, maintenance of electrical power plants, and the distribution and fuel delivery systems in support of contingency operations. Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery. Manages multiple project teams/task orders representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations, and includes management of subcontractor(s).

Successful candidate will possess a proven understanding of temporary emergency power operations and the roles, responsibilities, and interrelationships between the US Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, and the Department of Defense in that context.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • · Manage/direct the operation, installation, and DS/GS level maintenance of electric power plants, consisting of prime power generator sets of 500 KW and higher; and associated auxiliary systems and equipment.
  • · Direct the installation, operation, or maintenance of prime power plants, associated systems, and equipment; manage site managers
  • · Direct the preparation of power plant equipment for movement, storage, and installation.
  • · Manage electrical assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities.
  • · Manage QA/QC operations for electrical projects, equipment, and contract personnel.
  • · Determine repair/overhaul required, cost effectiveness, and method of accomplishment for power plant equipment and associated systems.
Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • PMP or a minimum of 5 years of field project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with US Army 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power) is highly preferred.
