Business Development Associate (Hightstown NY)

We are currently working with a premier provider of audiovisual event services delivering highquality solutions for corporate events conferences trade shows and live performances who is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the audiovisual industry strong interpersonal skills and a drive to expand our market presence. This role involves identifying new business opportunities building relationships with potential clients and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the company in the event services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and industry trends in the event services sector. Analyze competitors and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels including networking cold calling email campaigns and social media outreach. Focus on corporate events conferences trade shows and live performances.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Understand their event needs and propose tailored audiovisual solutions.
  • Sales Support: Assist Production Managers in preparing presentations and sales materials. Collaborate with the sales team to close deals and achieve sales targets.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of business development strategies. Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis and client feedback.
  • Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events trade shows and conferences. Network with potential clients and partners to promote our audiovisual event services.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of business development activities including lead generation client interactions and sales progress. Prepare regular reports for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing Communications or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 13 years of experience in business development sales or a related role. Experience in the audiovisual event services industry is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
    • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and CRM software.
    • Familiarity with audiovisual technology and event services is required.

    • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.




Junior Level: 2-5 years of experience in AV design and documentation Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Intermediate Level: 3-5 years of experience in AV design and documentation Bachelor\'s Degree (in any field) AVIXA CTS certification Government Security Clearance (current active and/or eligible) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar software Independently motivated and able to work under deadlines Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Senior Level: Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing AV design projects Bachelor\'s Degree (in any field) AVIXA CTS-D certification Government Security Clearance (current active and/or eligible) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar software Independently motivated and able to work under deadlines Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Experience with configuring and commissioning AV and IT systems Teaching experience is a plus
