The quality engineer role covers a wide variety of responsibilities. Which include but is not limited to:
Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality cost and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Ensuring incoming materials meet required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Certification or willingness to become certified for:
1. Delegated Customer Representative (DQR)
2. Delegated Product Release Verification (DPRV) for Probitas
3. Aerospace Self Release Agent (ASRA) for GKN
4. Lead Auditor Certified for SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)
Create and report on CPK & KPC charts
Perform MSA (measurement system analysis) including Gage R&R (repeatability & reproducibility)
Experience including:
1. Inspection Receiving
2. FAIR Inspection & Submittal
3. NetInspect Portal or Discuss
4. Ballooning (Hand & Software)
5. Shipping Quality Control & Paperwork
6. Quality Control Assistant
Review incoming material certifications for acceptance
Use Calibrate & repair gages
Create customer inspection reports
Willingness to adapt & train as this role evolves
Qualifications:
Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
Handson experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
Indepth understanding of technical documentation
Familiarity with statistical analysis
Great attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
Blueprint ballooning experience (hand Inspection Expert Discus)
Customer Portal experience (NetInspect eCAV etc....)
Good analytical skills
BSc in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or relevant field or equivalent in experience
Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus
