PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being always enforced and adhered to.
  • Have daily engagement with Service Mechanics in discussing the plan of the day and ensure safety topics are addressed.
  • Provide continual evaluation of the group's processes and methods, to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Provide day to day supervision of employee job execution, to include training, performance evaluation and employee relations.
  • Ensure that Safety, Quality and Efficiency is provided everyday with every task.
  • Receive daily service calls and work orders. Assign tasks to appropriate personnel. Verify completion of jobs. Distribute workload evenly and efficiently among employees.
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of shop personnel. Assist in performance reviews.
  • Schedule employee work hours and time off the job. Ensure that adequate human resources are always available.
  • Review and sign off on all daily timecards for Service Mechanics.
  • Assist management with administrative duties.
  • Ability to perform quotes and start shop repairs.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.


FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize jobs to meet customers' deliveries.
  • Update job status on job board.
  • Quote customers as needed.
  • Open Repair jobs in Tracker.
  • Complete requisitions for needed supplies and equipment.
  • Complete "phone-in" and "over-the-counter" service transactions.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with equipment repairs required.
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office experience is required.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be willing & able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
