As a Production Supervisor, You Will:
  • Supervise and direct employees to produce components and assemblies, as needed, that meet all specifications (quality) to support customer requirements and maintain a good employee relations environment.
  • Maintain and promote safe work practices and environment.
  • Maintain and promote a workplace culture of continuous improvement as measured by quality, delivery, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Use and promote 5S practices and lean workflow.
  • Work with production control to expedite orders as the need arises, and coordinate with other support departments as needed.
  • Maintain department records, schedules, time, attendance, etc.
  • Participate in root cause investigation and problem-solving.
  • Be receptive to future training/travel as vital.

Schedule:

This role typically works during the hours of 11 PM - 7 AM or 3 Pm - 11 PM, with around 30 - 40 direct reports.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Associate's degree and/or equivalent education/experience
  • Willingness to continue education to complete degree
  • Must be technologically savvy
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Lean and 5S experience
  • CNC machining and assembly experience

About Our Location

Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, Ohio has been developing tools that help trade professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately. Today, more than 600 employees work in 734K sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space. The campus is also home to a factory tool service center and a state-of-the-art "schoolhouse" training center that educates and trains hundreds of tradespersons annually. In addition to the iconic wrench, the campus manufactures RIDGID battery hydraulic tools, pipe, and electrical tools, and drain cleaning components, as well as Greenlee step bits and knock-out tools. Emerson's Professional Tools business provides the industry's broadest portfolio of advanced, reliable tools and technologies for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
