The Buyer is an integral part of the Ensight Solutions Purchasing team and reports to the Purchasing Manager. The Buyer will work closely with the Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Planning, and Production teams to assess and procure materials required to support the most efficient and cost-effective production process. The ideal team player will possess strong problem-solving skills, high learning agility and the ability to deal with ambiguity and develop creative solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create purchase orders and monitor due date reporting, supplier performance data, and material requirements data.
  • Work with the Engineering Team, Design Team, and Production Team to identify possible suppliers and materials.
  • Monitor and Evaluate inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and 3rd party service providers.
  • Responsible for defined purchasing categories.
  • Work directly with Purchasing Manager to generate productivity savings for the organization through sourcing, pricing negotiations, replacement, etc.
  • Participate in quarterly Supplier Performance meeting.
  • Support offsite divisions with purchasing requirements.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelors degree in Business or relatable field, preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with the use of ERP software (i.e. Syteline).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities

PC Skills
  • Microsoft Excel - Proficient level
  • Microsoft Outlook - Proficient level
Other Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to use MRP systems and Microsoft Office to accomplish tasks.
  • Able to problem solve and work well with others to resolve issues.
  • Capable of transitioning tasks quickly as business needs require.
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Works well with teammates and contributes to a team environment.
  • Must be action-oriented, with a "whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Must display consistent quality in work with a continuous improvement mindset.

Travel

Up to 10% travel may be required.
