The Sr. Manager, Global FP&A, will have the opportunity to support Research & Development (R&D), Product Management and Marketing. This role will support the Director, Global FP&A, and manage the financial operations and strategies for these functions totaling $200M in annual investment. The Sr. Manager, Global FP&A, will work closely with seven senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Key responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cost analysis, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
This position is part of SCIEX's Global Financial Planning & Analysis team and will be located onsite at our Framingham, MA corporate headquarters.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner closely with the Director, Global FP&A to support SCIEX's R&D organization with financial modeling of new product development and open innovation projects.
- Prepare and maintain planning schedules for the budget and forecast cycles throughout the year.
- Provide timely weekly and monthly expense reporting, variances to forecast and comparative analysis to prior fiscal year.
- Support the preparation of the annual plan as well as provide data analysis for the strategic planning cycle.
- Partner with the respective functional leaders to adjust forecasts, complete gap analysis and ensure targets are met on time.
- Working in a global environment as a finance partner to variety of functions – from design engineering to operations to product management and marketing.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 9+ experience in field with Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance and/or Accounting or a related degree OR Master's Degree in field with 7+ years of experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 4+ years exp.
- Adapt at both Microsoft Excel and Oracle Applications (ERP, Hyperion Enterprise, Planning, HFM, OneStream)
- Strong Power BI skills highly desirable
- Strong analytical modeling skills
- Effectively communicating and presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Hold CPA or CMA
- Life Science industry background
