There is an opening for a full time Third Grade Teacher at Fayetteville Academy beginning in the Fall of 2024.

Position Expectations

The position's primary responsibility will be the instruction of a third grade classroom within the Lower School division of the Academy. The strongest candidates will possess experience in elementary education, reading/grammar/math instruction, curriculum development, differentiated instruction and the use of technology to enhance instruction. Problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, a sense of humor, and a positive, enthusiastic, and collegial nature are also important for this position. Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, and active participation in the life of the school are essential.

Educational Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree (with a master's degree preferred) and at least three to five years of teaching experience. While independent school experience is not required, candidates without such experience should expect to receive a great deal of autonomy in - and accountability for - their work.
