About Our Client
Top international law firm. This role supports the IP department in NYC. On site three to four days a week.
Job Description
Review and docket all incoming correspondence from the Patent and Trademark officeFile records in CPIEnsure dockets are closed daily and adhere to the appropriate attorney approval protocolAssist with IP filings with the USPTO and associated tasksGenerate documents and IDS' for filing with USPTO and other governmental agenciesCreate and maintain client case listForward notices of missing parts to U.S. Patents Legal Assistant for client reporting and preparation of requested missing documents or reminder letter if documents were already sent to the clientProof reading and client reporting Review and client reporting of the Notice of PublicationVerify all cited references were received with office actions Handle Issue Notification and Letters PatentUpdate CPI when new rules come into effect for applicationsCreate file records in CPI, calculate and record deadlinesUpdate CPI for abandoned files, transferred out files, transferred in files, and changes of attorneys on files for recordsAdditional projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
