Sales Area Manager Position at Veolia

Are you ready to take the helm of sales operations in a dynamic environment? As the Sales Area Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing the Area's sales and margin targets. Your role will involve recruiting, training, and leading a team of technical sales and service professionals. By delivering tangible value to our customers, you'll pave the way for long-term relationships and business growth. Crafting and executing effective sales strategies will be key to expanding our client base and outshining our competitors.

Location Flexibility: This role is open to candidates based anywhere in Oklahoma or Kansas, provided they are willing to travel to customer sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive territory expansion by acquiring new accounts, nurturing existing client relationships, and guiding field sales teams to boost customer retention.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to launch sales initiatives, improve sales techniques, manage pricing and contracts, and enhance profitability.
  • Conduct customer training, site visits, product demos, and analyses to tailor solutions to customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Accurately forecast sales, promote EH&S practices, and foster interdepartmental collaboration to deliver top-notch sales and service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of technical sales experience in water processes and chemical treatment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Readiness to travel extensively within the assigned region, spend time near clients as needed, and undergo a driving record check for operating company vehicles.
  • Ability to work in industrial settings with protective gear and exposure to typical industrial elements.
  • Willingness to comply with strict drug testing and background screening protocols dictated by safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Office and Windows-based programs.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of managing technical, sales, or field service teams effectively and inclusively to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and budgeting skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to provide feedback, acknowledge achievements, and make a positive impact.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing and rewarding individual and team successes.
