What you'll do

  • Lead qualification effort for new customer products.
  • Develop a strategic plan to proactively address manufacturing issues/process improvements and lead a team in implementation of this plan.
  • Lead the development of digital tools to streamline MSAT analysis and development. Test and deploy digital tools for general use.
  • Provide MSAT interface between digital development efforts in MTEC group
  • Serve as a technical expert in cell culture media manufacturing processes
  • Serve as a technical expert in the use of analytical characterization techniques for cell culture media products. Develop analytical techniques for characterization of products and raw materials for cell culture media manufacturing.
  • Follow current industry trends and customer needs in dry powder and liquid media manufacturing. Provide technical leadership to align manufacturing processes with industry best practices.
  • Lead efforts to align global manufacturing with industry best practices. Utilize global MSAT resources to support troubleshooting, new product qualification, and process improvements for cell culture media manufacturing.
  • Mentor associates in design and development of experiments for cell culture media manufacturing, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a key contributor to efforts to appropriately publish findings and share learnings with internal and external audiences.

Who you are

  • Minimum of MS degree in bioengineering/biochemistry or related field with 5+ years' experience in technical manufacturing development.
  • 5+ years' experience implementing new manufacturing processes through concept design, change control, and process implementation.
  • Extensive experience in new product qualification efforts including excellent customer communication skills and experience leading technical discussions.
  • Experience in database development and design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
